Understand NYC Regulatory Management for Local Laws
DOHMH specifies testing every three (3) months. The inspection is required prior to seasonal startup. NYS requires an evaluation of proper functioning of the conductivity control.
If the tower is not in use during the winter, a 90-day inspection is not required, nor is one required if the cooling tower is not in use.
Corrective Actions
Corrective actions mean disinfection, cleaning, flushing, and other activities to remedy biofilm growth, Legionella proliferation, or other system mechanical problems identified through monitoring, inspections, or other means as may be determined by the Department.
Our experts are ready to answer any questions you may have about the compliance process.
