Understand NYC Regulatory Management for Local Laws

2.2. Annual Boiler Inspection

Overview

High-pressure boilers must be inspected by a qualified inspector. The inspection includes both an internal inspection and an external inspection of the Boiler.

2.2.1. Scheduling

The annual inspection is monitored by the Department of Building (DOB). The inspection should be scheduled no later than 3 months before the end of the year with a Licensed Master Plumber (LMP).

2.2.2. Inspection

The internal and external boiler inspection can be done at the same time, if scheduled separately, it should be performed with an approximate gap of six months.

2.2.3. Filing

The inspection report must be filed within 45 days of inspection. If the inspection failed, you have 180 days to correct all deficiencies reported.
